NEW - Excel Market Share Increases Dramatically
The Excel structured cabling system has now been recognised as the 4th
largest structured cabling system in the UK by volume, by the leading consultancy, test and research organisation BSRIA.
In the latest "Market for Structured Cabling" Report from BSRIA dated March 2007, Excel has once
again grown significantly and now accounts for 11% of the overall market share for copper products. In the previous three reports Excel was the
leading cabling system under the "distributor own brand" section but has now been shown separately due to its market penetration.
Excel was launched in 1997, and in the ten years since has grown from strength to strength.
John Twidell, Infrastructure Sales Manager commented: "Excel is one of the broadest structured cabling systems on the market today and
provides customers with many options to suit their individual cabling requirements, including a wide selection of patch panels, modules, cable
types etc all backed by a 25 year warranty." Twidell continued "Excel is now installed throughout numerous organisations from corporate
users through a wide range of specific vertical markets. With our consistent drive to enhance the range, for example the recent pre-terminated
system announcement and the launch of the Excel Cat6 A range imminent, we are confident we can continue to build on the success underlined in
the new BSRIA report."
The Excel system is also now available via a carefully selected number of European distributors, and from the Mayflex Middle East operation
which began trading in January of this year.
Mayflex Managing Director Andrew Percival commented, "To receive independent confirmation of the market share Excel has achieved is great
news, and recognises the fact we have put together a range of quality, high performance products which offer customers a reliable, easy to use
cabling solution. We would like to thank the many Excel integrators who have made this achievement possible, however our determination to
continually improve and develop our offering remains as strong as ever and we look forward to a number of new product launches over the next 12
months."
